Medication Assistance Program (MAP)
At Charity Health, we understand that the cost of prescription medications can be a significant burden for individuals and families who are uninsured or underinsured. Our Medication Assistance Program (MAP) is designed to help eligible individuals obtain their prescribed medications at reduced costs or for free.
It's important to note that the amount of financial assistance provided through MAP is determined on a case-by-case basis and is limited by the charity's budget. Qualifying for the program does not guarantee financial assistance, as the amount of aid available may vary based on the available funds. Additionally, MAP may close for temporary periods and reopen as funds replenish.
Our team of trained professionals is dedicated to helping individuals access the medications they need to manage their health conditions. We review each application carefully and work to secure the most affordable options for eligible individuals. We also provide guidance and support throughout the application process. While we hope to never experience a shortage of funds, we recognize that the demand for our MAP program may exceed our available resources at times. However, we're committed to exploring new partnerships and funding opportunities to ensure that our programs remain sustainable and successful in the long term.
Eligibility Requirements For MAP
To be eligible for our Medication Assistance Program (MAP), you must be a resident of California and meet certain income and insurance criteria. We provide assistance to both insured and uninsured individuals with a combined household income of up to $100,000.
In addition, if you have insurance or Medicare but are still struggling to afford the cost of your copays, you may be eligible for our program. We review each application on a case-bycase basis and provide assistance based on the level of need and the availability of our resources.
Please note that the amount of assistance we can provide is determined on a case-by-case basis and is limited by the charity's budget. Qualifying for the program does not guarantee financial assistance, as this is also dependent on the available funds the charity has. We may have to close the MAP for temporary periods and reopen as funds replenish, but we are committed to helping those in need for as long as our resources allow.
